Dive Sites
The island of Boracay offers more than 20 dive sites you can explore. Level of experience does not matter, whether you are a beginner or an experienced diver, there will always be a variety of dive sites to choose from.
- Angol Point
The best spot for those who want to experience diving for the first time. With a maximum depth of 12meters, this is an easy dive for intro divers. This is perfect for macro photography with sightings of rare scorpion fishes, banner fishes, sweetlips, sea snakes and lots of sea stars and sea cucumbers. Here you will meet Nemo (clown fish) and you may even feed his friends as well! It is also a favorite for night dives and snorkeling too. - Coral Garden
- Lobster Rock
- LittleFridays
- Fridays Rock
- Diniwid
- Balinghai
This consists of 2 walls parallel to each other. It offers a gentle sloping shallow wall that is good for open water training dives. The deep wall however is for advanced open water divers for it can go as deep as 40 meters. There are occasional sightings of sea turtles, morays around the area. This spot is rich in different types of colorful fish and corals. You will also see the reef module that was planted by the diving association that serves as a fish haven. - Santoson
- Tribird Wreck
TRI-BIRD-Russian made airplane with 3 engines donated to B.A.S.S. (dive shop association in the island). It was sunk on purpose on March 2012 to create an artificial reef and a new haven for fishes. This is the second wreck site in the island after Camia. The depth of this beautiful site is around 25 to 30 meters which is suitable for experienced divers who are seeking for some adventure. It is also great dive site for deep dive training of PADI Adventure or Advanced Course or even the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty Course. There have been sightings of Bat fish, Anemone fish, Sting rays, and different tropical fishes as well as macro stuff like Nudibranch. - Laguna de Boracay
This dive site is located at the east side of the island and it named after the resort which was right in front of it. This place is beautiful for macro photography, hard and soft corals are also great in this area. We usually go here during the months of June to September which is the monsoon season for Boracay. This site is very much suitable for all levels of experience even for beginners. - Camia 2
This was sunk 2001 by the association of dive schools on the island. This is one of the most visited spots because of the experience and thrill it has to offer. The sheer abundance of marine life is a sight to behold! This spot houses Snappers, Puffer fish, Surgeon fish, Bat fish, Trumpet fish, Angler fish and a lot more. A highly recommended spot for thrill seeking individuals. - Virgin Drop
- Deep Friday’s
- Punta Bunga
- Yapak 1
The most popular & perhaps the most challenging dive spot Boracay has to offer. As the local dive community would often say, “you have not experienced diving in Boracay, until you’ve experienced diving in yapak!”. This has a starting depth of 30 meters, which requires a negative entry down to a maximum depth of 40 meters. Discover the secrets of the deep and get close encounters with white tip and grey reef sharks, dogtooth tuna, groupers, rays and many more. As challenging as this spot is, the reward is definitely a breath taking visual experience! - Yapak 2
- Puka Shell
- Carabao
- Channel Drift
This site is perfect for both experienced divers and for those who want to do it as part of the advanced course. This experience will give every diver a natural high of flying underwater. - Crocodile Island
Looking like the head of a crocodile from a distance which is why this is named as such. This spot has a sloping wall that begins at around 5 meters and gradually goes down to 25. The best depth to maximize the dive is somewhere between 12-20 meters. Here you will see soft & hard corals, macro organisms and different types of fish. The current can be strong occasionally because this is located at the south east, near the channel between Boracay and the mail land. It is always advisable to check the tide table first before a dive. - Laurel Island
Located southeast part of Boracay, opposite to crocodile island. The island itself has two dive sites called Laurel Island and Laurel Tunnel. The spot offers an abundance of different colorful soft & hard corals and marine life. This spot is not dived as often as the other spots so the corals are very well preserved. The current here can occasionally be strong and maximum depth is 20 meters. - Tambisan
- Tulobhan
- Bolabog Reef
- Lapus Lapus
- Bat Cave
- Nasog Point
- Dog Drift
- Lapu Wall
- Buruanga Point
