3. When is the best time to visit Boracay?
For the best weather and a lively atmosphere, visit Boracay between November and May. The weather during this time is sunny and dry, with clear skies and calm seas, perfect for beach activities and water sports. For lower prices and a quieter experience, consider traveling during the rainy season, keeping in mind the potential for unpredictable weather.
4. Who can participate in Scuba Diving?
Anybody can participate in Scuba Diving activities as long as the individual is mentally and physically fit. It doesn’t even matter if you know how to swim or not.
5. How long does it take to get certified?
2-3 days is all you need to get the PADI certification.
6. What can you offer for certified divers?
Daily fun dives around Boracay and dive safari or dive trips with beach BBQ to nearby Buruanga Island are available for certified divers or the option to upgrade your certification and get a specialty course.
7. How do we get to the dive sites?
All dives in Boracay are boat dives and most of the dive sites are only about 15 to 20 minutes away. Eclipse Dive Center has its own boat named “BLUE WALKER”. Blue Walker is an outrigger boat that has a capacity of 30pax / 15 divers. Our boat carries a permit issued by the MARINA, a government agency that assures that all ocean vessels are sea worthy. Also, Blue Walker is equipped with all safety gear such as communication equipment, life vests, first aid kit, etc.
8. If my equipment breaks, can I get it repaired?
Yes, we have experienced technicians who can repair in no time. However, if the damage is beyond the tools and equipment we have on site, we therefore have to endorse you to a dive repair shop that we highly recommend but bear in mind that this may have implicated costs as it is outsourced.
9. What if I don’t have my dive card or proof of certification?
There are a couple of options if you don’t have your card. We can go online to verify your card with your certifying agency (PADI, SSI, CMAS etc.) along with the information of your full name and birth date. In case we are unable to do so, we will have to ask for another proof of certification such as your Log Book/ Dive Log or a temporary card issued by your certifying agency. In the event that we are still unable to verify your certification, our last option will be to help you contact your certification agency to confirm such.
10. What if I haven’t dove in several years?
If you have not dove in a while, we reserve the right to determine whether you are ready to dive based on our assessment of your knowledge and skills. We may have to require you a refresher course or scuba review.
